V - Kings Busby ~purplepawn

Once again the lights are on in Kings Park over the Christmas period, so as every Photographer in Perth does I drove up there and took some shots of the trees bathed in iridescent lights.

This is the fifth shot of the series... I was perched in the middle of a traffic island/median-strip as I heard quite a large vehicle approaching from behind. I didn't know what it was at the time, but I just took the shot as it entered the corner of my eye. It turned out to be a big tourist bus...

Colours aren't as saturated in this shot as I didn't use the flash. One of my favourite shots I think, probably because of the streaks that the bus made

the colours in this peice are amazing. i love how the exposure made the bus's lights streak. really adds to the scene.
are those colours on the trees off on the right natural or were they edited in there?

The colour on the trees is provided by lights that are counter-sunk in the ground, facing upwards. No photoshopping there

great capture...wow i've never been to kings park at christmas. actually the last time i went i would of been about 10. but really nice photo, i love the colours
